About
Would you like to know what inspires me to capture vintage railroad? It all started with a photo vacation to Colorado. While on a road trip earlier that spring, a friend asked me to join him a a few other friends to go to Colorado. For ten whole days.
My first thought was how would I manage to take off that amount of time? I was working a full time job after all. The very next day, I secured my time off, made flight reservations, and planned for a trip of a lifetime.
It was like magic. Climbing aboard the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad was pure excitement, magical, and had adventure written all over it! Although the weather was chilly at the start, once we were on our way, the weather warmed up & I was ready for what God had planned for us.
Throughout the whole day we ventured to several scenic vintage railroad locations that could only be found while riding the rail, or if you were brave enough, you could hike your way to these places. Each stop was filled with breath taking beauty. The autumn scenic mountains only added to the destination.
When our vintage rail fan tour was over and we were heading back to the train station, I knew I have found a new niche to explore photographically speaking.
My vintage railroad scenes include the Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, Cass Scenic Railroad, Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, the Strasburg Rail Road, Georgetown Loop Railroad, and more. My plan is to photograph as many vintage railroad destinations as possible.
Enjoy the Ride!
